Welcome to Brighter Later Therapy

Sex positive psychosexual and relationship therapy for individuals and intimate partnerships

About Me

I am a fully qualified psychosexual and relationship therapist with experience of working with a diverse range of clients. I have worked for the NHS, Terrence Higgins Trust and Ealing Abbey Counselling Service working with individuals and people in intimate partnerships (or "couples") from a range of backgrounds.

My pronouns are she/her. I am LGBTQIA+ aware, educated and knowledgeable with lived experience of both short and long term relationships with people of all genders. As an active member of the BDSM/Kink community I am highly knowledgeable in this area and have lived experience of the complexities of relationships within the community.

I identify as solo poly. I have an ever growing understanding and knowledge of relationship diversity from swinging and "monogamish" relationships to hierarchial and non-hierarchial polyamory.

I have experience of providing in depth long-term therapy on complex issues such as the effects of conversion therapy, as well as providing short term therapy for the NHS.

I feel my strengths are working with LGBTQIA+ clients, those in the BDSM/Kink community, with polyamorous clients and with conflict in relationships.

I am from a proud neurodiverse family. I continue to educate myself on working with neurodiverse clients and to support and listen to the needs of neurodiverse people.

I have a good understanding of Gender, Sexual and Relationship Diversity and of intersectionality (for example I am aware that the life experience of a British born Chinese bisexual woman with a trans history will be very different to a white, cisgender bisexual, British Caucasian woman).

Issues I work with

I work integratively, combining different approaches (such as Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic, Existential Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behaviourial Therapy). I have worked with a variety of complex issues and psychosexual presentations including:

  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Compulsive sexual behaviour (also known as "sex addiction")
  • Vaginismus
  • Low sexual desire
  • Rapid ejaculation
  • Absent or delayed ejaculation
  • Kinks and fetishes
  • Sexual abuse
  • Sexual phobias
  • Dysparenia (painful sex)
  • Polyamory and open relationships
  • Living with HIV and other STDs
  • Chemsex
  • Conflict and communication issues in relationships (for people currently in relationships and for those who aren't)
  • Relationship insecurity

How I work

  • I aim to create a sex positive, welcoming and non-judgemental space for clients to discuss their thoughts and feelings.
  • I have had many years of personal therapy myself and appreciate how difficult it can be to discuss sex and relationships with a therapist.
  • I will tailor my approach to best meet your needs and to balance the need for emotional support with challenges to negative ways of thinking.
  • I aim to create positive and long lasting change in the relationships and sex lives of the clients I see.

My location

I am based in West London and offer online sessions for clients in the Greater London area via Zoom.

Please contact me if you would like some more information about how online therapy works, or to arrange an appointment.

Fees & availability

Sessions last 50 minutes and are currently held online using Zoom.

Rates are £70 for individuals and £90 for intimate partnerships of two people.

Note that if you want to cancel an appointment I require 48 hours’ notice; otherwise you will still need to pay for any sessions missed. I accept payment by bank transfer.
